So Bunker is a member of STAR and of course, ALR. He thought it'd be a great idea if we got together for a ride and get to know each other better. I know some STAR riders and now know some more.
So what to do??? Eat of course! And horrors, I forgot to take food pics!!! Out on the delta, on 4 is Union Pt. Marina Bar and Grill and the Red Caboose to follow in Antioch with a stop in Concord. If anyone left hungry... can't happen! GBG
So I got there first, Trouble Maker (Glen P) came right in behind me. I wound up parking in the back 40 as I didn't have a clue as to how many were gonna show...
Rich M NICE looking Illusion Blue Wing (Eat your heart out Sherm, you too Roy C!!!).
Bike shot... I talked to the lady on the wing and asked her if she rode a lot and she said yes. So I said, you have at try out my beads.... next thing I hear is hubby saying "thanks a LOT!!! Now I have to get some!!!" So he tried them and liked 'um too!
Bike shot....
Bunker giving us his "say once" about the ride.
Gene B harassing Jigger.
Well, we get to the Union Pt. Marina Bar and Grill, and the parking is a bit tight, so Ruby and a few more were again out in the back 40, but the most gorgeous bike is in front! GBG My blog....
Getting ready to go in....
Caught Georgie rummaging thru her saddle bag. While there, Georgie was swapping notes with Jake... that poooooorr soul was eating at Lenny's!! Sooooo sorry for you Jake, Wish you were here! GBG I gotta go by with some Seafoam for your scoot... I went down to the water and got some!!!! GBSEG
You could have not asked for a better day!!! about 80, slight breeze, just fantastic!
The boaters were loving the weather, too!
Caught George C, Al C and wife, and Glen P AKA Trouble Maker after lunch...
Next stop is the Red Caboose in Antioch.
Inside was nice!
Nice patio out back.
Water right next to us! Cooled us down to just perfect!
Georgie heading over, her and I were going to skip Concord and I escorted her back to San Jose and left her just before 1600 at the Coleman turnoff on 880 so I could hit 87, waves and honks and on down the road.
OK, it IS a Red Caboose!! GBG Folks, it was a GREAT DAY!!!! Told the wife I needed a ride... haven't been out for a while... har...
A better day could not have been had! Thanks Bunker for the ride and all that showed up. I didn't do a bike count but it must've been close to 30.
